Cirlo and Sentry Seer

Both start with an error and end with a fix. The difference is before and after: what starts the chain, and whether anyone hears about it at the end.

What Sentry Seer does well

  • Best-in-class error tracking: stack traces, releases, regressions, performance. Cirlo doesn't replace that and doesn't want to.
  • Seer finds the cause of a crash and opens pull requests for it, automatically from ten events on, with handoff to Claude Code, Cursor or Copilot. Since 21 Sep 2026 Seer also pushes follow-up commits.
  • Seer checks its own pull requests: @sentry generate-test writes tests for them, @sentry review comments on them, and a hosted MCP server gives your agent access to traces.
  • Sentry has its own feedback widget and a guide on turning it into a pull request with a Cursor automation.
  • If you already use Sentry, you don't need a second tool for this.

Where the chain ends

Seer starts at an exception; user feedback only becomes a task with an automation you build yourself. A button that does nothing, a redirect into nowhere, a wrong calculation: nothing crashes, so an exception pipeline never sees it. Cirlo takes the same Sentry alerts, plus reports from your app and your support inbox, and merges them into one issue. The second difference is the end: there's no reporter identity in Sentry's data that a fixed message could go to. The request for it has been open in Sentry's public tracker since June 2024 (issue 73281). The third difference is the level of proof: Seer's proof ends at a green pull request. Cirlo waits for the merge or the deploy and tells the person who reported it which stage has been reached.

When Cirlo is the wrong choice

If you're looking for pure error tracking and nobody outside uses your app, you don't need Cirlo. Cirlo pays off the moment real users are affected and you want them to know.
